Nick Cave...is back! Dig, Lazarus, Dig!

Dig, Lazarus, Dig! is the upcoming fourteenth studio album by international alternative rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. The album was recorded in June and July of 2007 at State of the Ark Studios in Richmond and mixed by Nick Launay at British Grove in Chiswick, and is scheduled for a March 3, 2008 release.
It will be the second Bad Seeds studio album without Blixa Bargeld and the first to be released since the Bad Seeds side project Grinderman released their eponymous album. In several interviews Cave has stated that this album will 'sound like Grinderman', implying a garage rock sound. Whether this will be in addition to or as well as the choral and orchestral arrangements which the recent Bad Seeds albums are renowned for is unknown. The album will be accompanied by a "gigantic" tour which will not include the United States.Dig, Lazarus, Dig! features artwork by British artists Tim Noble and Sue Webster.
